So, why am I celebrating? Well, finally, I've completed my first draft of my first full length English village mystery! I'm so pleased to have got this far and can't wait to work on the edits! But wait there's more! I've actually begun work on my second book and am a few chapters in already!

I wrote and illustrated The Little Cat who thought she was a Dog as a labour of love. It's a fun and sweet account of our precious family in Zambia, with Gypsy, the star of the story, being the inspiration behind it. It's old-fashioned story-telling, sweet and innocent, and perfect for kids to allow their imagination to run wild! It's a book you can read together, and have enormous fun with! I hope that you do!

To download your free e-book, click on the links on the left for UK or US. It's also available on all other Amazon marketplaces, just search for my book on your local Amazon page!

No kindle? No problem! Amazon offers free kindle downloads for tablets and/or your pc!

I'd love to hear how much you and your kids enjoy the book, so please leave a comment on Amazon or Goodreads! Or Facebook!

Here's what it's about:

Enjoy this sweet, fun, story with your children!
Join Gypsy, the most gorgeous little cat in the world, on her adventure in Zambia, somewhere in the middle of Africa.
From becoming lost as a tiny kitten, she finds a home, a Mummy and Daddy and brothers and sisters.
From enormous, grey, velvet cushions to hairy creatures with big tummies, from sausages, to wriggling bags and even a lion, her life is one, great, fun-filled adventure!
But one big question worries Gypsy and her brothers and sisters. Is she a cat or a dog?
It’s up to all the animals to help Gypsy solve the mystery.
Find out what they decide as you enjoy this fun story, filled with entertaining moments, about the happiest family in the world.
Is this really a true story? Yes, if we believe that our cats and dogs can talk (which we all secretly know they can, we just have to listen carefully).
The ink and water colour illustrations are the author’s original miniatures, drawn and painted by hand.
The author, Linzi Carlisle, and her husband Justin, lived in Zambia, for many wonderful years, with their family of cats and dogs. This story is written, with love, for everyone who has ever loved an animal.

Let your children believe that cats and dogs can talk! We all need a little magic in our lives! The comment below, by my Godson, meant the world to me!

I really hope you and your children enjoy the story! Happy reading!

Linzi xx
